Rating: sounds like DoMo

GoWare is partnering with 4INFO to add SMS content retrieval and sharing (current buzz word in the mobile market) to the DoMo HomePage service.

DoMo HomePage?
DoMo is a service that enables access to personal content on one page. This means that you don’t need to surf around as all key or vital information is on the home page. The reasoning is that by having home page control of favoured content users can enjoy a more controlled and easier mobile Internet experience.

4INFO?
4INFO is a mobile SMS search provider. I have had my doubts about the company in the past but I know when I am wrong and SMS at the moment remains a favoured way for consumers to swap and exchange information.

Basically from now on users can share content from the DoMo Home page via SMS using the 4INFO shortcode 44636.

From the press release
“Through DoMo HomePage we’ve made it easy for mobile phone users to access all of their Web and PC content from a single screen on their mobile phones,” said Jason Thibeault, co-founder and CTO of GoWare. “Now we’re making it easier to get up and running and providing even greater flexibility by offering powerful SMS and Web management capabilities.

What we think
We haven’t tested it yet – I am using Vista but the spare PC in London has XP and we will give it ago and report back.
