GoWare has launched a new service on its Community Website. http://community.domohomepage.com/

Now I have to be honest, I wasn’t aware of DoMo until today and have a good surf around the BETA website. What I see looks interesting.

Basically – users can create their own content portals on mobile where they save general information or news or content from the PC. These then become their won little mobile space.

Indeed it’s not completely new and several companies including mobile operators are allowing users to create and tailor WAP sites. But the relationship with GoWare makes it interesting. GoWare is also an enterprise player and has web application tools that allow content to be viewed by a single browser. Its not easy adding personal content to a mobile portal but together this user generated content community will be able to serve a student market away making content and doc files or presentations easy to manage, store and share.

From the press release:
“We’ve made it possible for users to create multiple public portals so they can share their favorite content, mobilized by DoMo HomePage, with everyone. For example, they can create the world’s best ‘Dog Lover’s Mobile Portal’ if they like and post it on the DoMo HomePage Community website for anyone else with a similar interest,” said Jason Thibeault, CTO and co-founder of GoWare. “Our goal for DoMo HomePage is to create a positive experience on the mobile phone for accessing and sharing content through the mobile browser. This announcement is one more example of how we are doing that.”

What we think (DoMo – sounds like our own beloved GoMo)
Rock on!!!
