Greystripe launches Mobile Engagement Platform
Greystripe has developed an end-to-end brand experience with their mobile games catalog. It is packaged from within a new Mobile Engagement Platform.
What does this mean?
Basically within a mobile game, brands tend to get the opening and end slot. This has been increased and now brands will have a greater presence during, in and around the game. So instead of being a quick except – it become more of a branded experience.
This seems to suggest that web banner and text ads are not enough to grab consumers attention on mobile. So the new models for advertising in the engagement platform include:
1) Web and mobile Web download site sponsorship
2) All of the full screen ad space for every sponsored play
3) A branded in-game on device portal which appears at the start of every game play giving the advertisers permanent presence on the game player’s phone. The in-game ODP menu provides:
a. Links to the advertiser’s mobile Web site
b. Branded wallpapers downloaded directly from the portal
c. Clear association with each sponsored play
4) Complete campaign management and reporting metrics
What we think?
I tend to agree that it might be easier to sell advertisers an experience rather than just an interstitial at the start or the end of the game. It will improve brand visibility and identity. But what is the extra cost? Also will it distract from the game. I need a demo!! Greystripe please take a video that I can publish here!

For sure in-game is not going to distract people, even more could give a fell of reallity. If greystripe don’t send you a video demo I do it.
