ICSS Deutsche Telekom dinner at the Radisson SAS Dom Lounge
Rating: DT knows how to look after analysts but sorry no wireless news in the post

After the Round Table which was at the old telecom interconnection head quarters in Berlin; I thought the surroundings and architecture couldn’t get much better. I was wrong. It’s been a long time since I was in Berlin – but l love the city. It is really just a unique city with lots of history and heritage and a great metropolis.
Our hotel the Radisson SAS is a superior hotel in the heart of the former East Berlin over looking the red parliament building. The impressive seven story building has a fish tank (seven stories high) in the middle of it and a lift that goes straight through the fish tank. Basically, it is amazingly impressive and the ICSS organisers managed to get us an exclusive journey in this spectacular lift.
But anyway – the hotel was fabulous and the dinner also a delight. As we started the evening with Champagne three or four of the senior executives at Deutsche Telekom mentioned above came up to me and thanked me for my contribution and singled me out for having some of the “most interesting” things to say. This was great as I have worked extremely hard this past year to make BKI Media a successful analyst business and this is all very encouraging.
During dinner I sat next to Dr Wulf Bauerfeld and Michael A M Davies a very interesting KIWI who lives in the US, but is British educated and all sorts. I think I have this effect on people as he bought me about eight glasses of Champagne as we drank well into the early hours of this morning. But I also had a lovely conversation with Heribert Krautkremer Executive VP of Carrier Sales about the Hunsrueck.
But the additional highlight was a magician that was doing brilliant card and money tricks – it just added to the flavour of being in a beautiful glass restaurant location overlooking the former East Berlin and the oldest church in the whole of Germany, in an exclusive part of the hotel.
Magic.
