Rating: Cool, yes…unique?? me thinks not.

They Say: Marketforce, based in Perth used a Bluetooth messaging campaign to promote Big Brother 2008 on Channel Ten, Australia says Textually.org.

20 busy bus shelters were equipped with Bluetooth Transmitters pushing 2 messages to any Bluetooth handset in the area. The first message used the local location to catch people by surprise and read “Im watching u. Ur at the (customized current location)”. The second message is received 30-40 seconds later with the big reveal, saying “Big Brother is back. 7 PM weeknights on TEN”.

We say: I am all for using cutting technology to be creative with and therefore engage the audience but I hardly Bluetooth push messaging in this day and age can be deemed a unique but nice try!.
