Following my piece on InfoSpace results yesterday an investor in InfoSpace sent me a message regarding the Verizon/ Mobile Search scenario.

Here it is and thank-you for clarifying and I have removed names and phone numbers.

Message :Bena,

Regarding INSP \’s serach box on VZW portal - user has option of keyword search or clicking the url button to type in web address. If you type in \’pizza\’ for example in the search box you will see the new results - in fact you will be prompted to enter your zip code and then you will see private label version of INSP\’s Find It Mobile results. INSP monetization strategy long term appears to expect larger touch screen phones to go mass market and create opportunity to bring their private label web meta search and directory service to carrier home page portals - instead of using GOOG brand. Great work with your GOMo website!
