iPhone app makes social network sharing easier

Rating: Via.me shows intriguing potential

OK. Hands up those who don’t need an app that enables you to manage all your social media content in one place? Thought so. With Via.me from RadiumOne Labs  userscan create, filter and share pictures, videos, audio content and text across all their social networks. As RadiumOne has correctly observed, most people possess multiple social media accounts. Hence, an ability to publish all types of content from a single tool is extremely useful. Here’s the bit we don’t get. On the one hand Radium One says, “Because it’s not one social network, you aren’t going to be bombarded with advertising.” Good news.

Sadly, the company then goes on to say, “Brands gain access to social interaction data and create real-time advertising and unlock the power of the intelligent web for their display advertising.”

Um, make up your mind. Will it  or will it not increase mobile advertising?

Buried deep in the Press Blurb are factors such as to which social network are actually involved?

Given that this app is in its early days, only being compatible with two social networks – Facebook and Twitter, is excusable.

The other disappointment is that Via.me has been released on just one mobile OS so far: – iOS. It’s just crying out for an Android version.

“We created a great product that not only is fun to use for consumers, but becomes a game changer for brands and publishers,” said Gurbaksh Chahal, CEO with RadiumOne.

“Via.me is the easy, simple solution that enables publishing multiple types of content from one place across all your social profiles,” he added.

The clever bit is that Via.Me has partnered with several third party Twitter clients to integrate their products. Most prominent of these are PeerIndex and OneLouder.

For those iOS device owners desperate to get their hands on this app it is here.

Judging from the few reviews posted so far Via.me is definitely filling a gap no-one has before.
