Mobile access company SoonR have acted with stunning foresight into the popularity of the iPhone and launched a version of their software to support the hallowed one.  This means middle-class college boys with facial hair who waited outside the Apple store for 866 years can now access their home computer using their new toy.  The software lets iPhone disciples see all the files and folders on their PC or Mac, as well as being able to use their email and Skype.   Holy convergence batman.

From the press release:

It’s like putting a thousand-mile extension on your monitor, said Scott Goldman, Founder and Principal, The Goldman Group.

What we think:<br />And lo, on the first day Jobs did launch the iPhone and it was good.
And on the second day many thousands of application developers, content producers, programmers network operators and every  other person in the mobile world jumped on the bandwagon and rode it round and round until the wheels came off.

My highly developed mobile ninja intuition tells me this is one of many many iPhone focussed announcements we can expect from companies like SoonR who have had their code monkeys locked away trying to get version one of their iPhone software out the door.  SoonR is a cool company, who look like they are doing decent stuff in the mobile access market along with companies like Orb, but is the fact that they support the iPhone really THAT newsworthy? I am sure there will be similar announcements to come, perhaps i have got the first recorded case of iPhatigue.  Maybe my life is now just empty because all the hype is over, come on Jobsy, what’s next? iCiabatta maker? iSpork?
