Rating: I am feeling guilty now for missing several opportunities to talk to Loopt this week

I get the feeling that LBS is definitely back in the air. Location seems to be fashionable again. Developers are being urged to jump on board with access to Loopt’s live location feed and then to create stronger n ewer fresher services.

From the press release
Sam Altman CEO and co-Founder of Loopt commented, “We are thrilled to offer the first live location developer program that ushers in a new generation of context-sensitive mobile services. If you have a great idea for a location-aware application and want to build it, the Loopt Developer Program will provide the software and infrastructure to create a proof-of-concept product. We’ll provide a path for commercial release and monetization across carriers and devices for the best applications.”

What we think?
So Loopt is offering social networking location based services. Go2 is doing the same with coupons and advertising. GyPsii is also offering similar search features and clickmobile is making waves in France.
Oh and today I already wrote about Rummble.

The market is picking up.

So lets have a bit of audience interaction.

3 people that user any of the aforementioned services please raise your hands.
(hello?)

Yep. Raise your hands now please.

Oh!

OK then. No one.
