I recently read an article that said that MCN (Mobile Content Networks) want to be at the same level as JumpTap, Medio Systems and Fastsearch. My instant reaction was “don’t they all”. After 24 hours of digging and talking to mobile operators across the globe, it turns out tha MCN might have something to offer.
The company just won some Series B funding and has been working on some cool developments. The primary one is mobilesearch.net, but the coolest is an FM radio search on mobile for DoCoMo. As PlazZza and Gallery kick off in Belgium and France MCN has launched similar m-shopping services in Germany on mobile platforms.
As mobile operators look to find Plazzza and Gallery style services MCN might just find itself promoted to new heights in the 2007.
