MCN Widsets

Congratulations MCN for becoming the mobile vertical search platform for Nokia’s Widsets!

The press release (see article below from Rob) highlighted that Widsets has millions of users.  I have to say that I have found Widsets cumbersome. The introduction of the MCN vertical search should stop this.

Why?

Well basically, having lots of widgets is one thing - but finding what you want or similar is vital for greater mobile application adoption.  The home page of Widsets seems to also play favourites and is not based on most popular -  and the only app I have ever found or used is from Foreca.

Hmmm. I am actually not sure if I like Widsets - everything about it even the name seems constrained or trying to be something that it isn’t.  But anyway - a better search solution will only improve this.

Furhermore, MCN is now on Widsets for search and improving Nokia’s terrible music search is next.
