Rating: can mobile search be managed?

by Bena Roberts

End2end
End2End and Medio Systems will deploy a managed mobile search facility for European operators. This will be for both mobile search and mobile advertising solutions.

What?
Mediologo
End2End is a managed services company that hosts content services and managed partnerships with third party content providers for mobile operators. It has now teamed up with Medio. Medio Systems is a white label mobile search and advertising company. Basically, End2End’s managed services will now have a search function – powered by Medio and hence adverts, relevancy and recommendation can be triggered into existing and new operator related managed service solutions.
So?
Well End2End realises that users get lost in the wealth of content and needed to offer a strong mobile search solution within its managed services portfolio to ensure users find what they are looking for. Its likely mobile operators were also looking for this functionality so they could still structure their on and off portal strategies.

From the press release
Morten Jensen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at End2End
explained: “Relevant mobile search that is intuitive and simple to use
has become an important part of a network operator’s mobile data
business as it complements and enhances a mobile data proposition. We
are delighted that Medio Systems has chosen End2End as its trusted
partner to launch a managed service mobile search solution for European
operators.”
Lee Joseph, Managing Director EMEA of Medio Systems explained: “Medio
Systems selected End2End as our managed services partner in Europe due
to their proven track record in the management of mobile data services.
This partnership allows us to rapidly scale our business to meet the
growing demand for our services while offering our customers both speed
to market and reduced start-up cost.”

What we think

Our biggest criticism for Medio was always its lack of EU penetration. This is set to change. Overnight Medio is going upwardly mobile in Europe. Having followed End2End for a long time – it’s a great company, with a quality focused image that will be ideal for Medio moving forward.
