Meffy Awards, MEF update and Blyk

Firstly I have to thank Roger Davies for sitting next to me and for knowing how to source bottles of Champagne (from Nokia) at the Meffys. He is definitely the most resourceful Welsh man I know!
The Meffy Awards was an interesting night but I have to say I was slightly disappointed by three awards. I can’t say much about one of them as it’s very close to my heart and I was a judge, but this is not the case for the subsequent two.
Oh I nearly forget – I met Antii Ohrling from Blyk again this evening. Antii looked great. I was joking with him that life must be “too good” as he looked tanned and relaxed. It wasn’t what I expected. I thought that a few months before launch he would be looking tested, but it’s not the case. He promised me the most vivid and exciting launch of a new MVNO that Europe has ever experienced. I am not sure about anyone else – but I can’t wait.
All in all it was a great night. I am not overly convinced about the Monte Carlo location – but MEM remains a successful networking event.
