Rating: I believe!

Today, I was at an exclusive Microsoft event for entrepreneurs in the Web 2.0 space. Microsoft has also launched a new site especially for helping 2.0 start-ups and to establish new partnerships.

This seminar was a way of highlighting Microsoft’s new services and to encourage small players (like BKI Media).

Steve Ballmer gave an hour long presentation with the help of a developer and they walked and talked us through some innovative new solutions.
Popfly is a social mash-up tool with the simplest interface I have ever seen in my life. You can pull in the best of the social web and mix it with a tool for viewing or navigating (including maps) and off you go.

Silverlight is like a flash tool creative planner tool that in this instance allowed users to purchase flights and navigate services instantly. Marvellous.

Then cDragon – I thought this was a barcode but it’s the ability to download and save complete works or books into a micro file. This is space storage at its very best!

Impressed. Actually, I think that I was. But its like my Vista Business. It can also do a lot and it looks sexy – but it still needs ten minutes to kick in and work properly every morning before my laptop starts functioning properly.

So looks can be deceiving. But from what I have seen; everything looks incredibly sexy and … big question…
Do I want it?
Answer?
Yes.
