Mippin and MEF(in) at the MEF Live PARTY

So at the MEF Live Party last night apart from about one hour of dancing around my laptop to great 80’s sounds (am still humming Depeche Mode’s Just Can’t Get Enough) – I tried to keep it together and mix business with pleasure.

First of all I bumped into Scott Beaumont Co-Founder of Mippin. We spoke candidly about the difficulties of mobile start-ups and how Mobizines clients were difficult to push – but more positively on Mippin. Mippin is the new mobile service that makes RSS sexy. I can’t disclose the new figures and hits and all those juicy things yet –but apparently we can in two weeks – so more then.

Then I bumped into Andrew Bud from mBlox who never knows who I am every time I meet him – and I have met him at nearly every industry event I have been to. This time though when he asked who I was; I played dumb and asked him who he was which I hope gave him the same ego dent that I receive every time!

But moving on – I had a great chat with Rimma who speaks perfect Russia (I don’t; I just noticed) and talked about the MEF and vision moving forward. Earlier in the day, I reminded her of the first time I met her in London when we had a strange meeting at the time I was still at Current Analysis. It’s amazing how the MEF has grown since then and for me how GoMo has been born and is also growing. GoMo News is going to turn one in January and Rimma suggested I throw a party – not sure if we will – but its something to think about.
