Mippin response to GoMo News Rap

Rating: lets get jiggy (sorry I mean) mippin with it

I just got this response to my RAP on mippin (see yesterdays post) from Refresh Mobile and Mippin Chief Rapper Scott Beaumont.

Life is tough in a young start-up,
You work so hard, sometimes you muck-up;
we treasure our friends in our cause,
when we cock it up it gives us pause.

No GoMo News; OMG! no no!
What have we done, it’s a no-show;
Wait a minute, this is an easy fix
A little work here and it’s in the mix.

But Bena we cry, open up! Your feed is shy,
It shows only a teaser, We don’t know why
I want the full monty on my cell,
Keeping it short makes life hell

Go GoMo! Go GoMo!

What we think
Dear me. This is a hoot – I think that the GoMo News Rap might deserve its own category and could be a regular new feature!

Scott mentioned that my feed offers only partial content. He is right this is a pain and there are lot of transcoding issues that make clicking through to the site not optimal. But we are doing this because, we are also a start up with 300,000 hits a month and we need to get to 1 million. This is the target and this is the challenge we have from three investors that are looking to give GoMo some funding.

So, we are going to create a sister site – no graphics, no images, no avators just text with a new RSS feed and send it to Mippin. Then all readers will be able to read the whole of GoMo News directly from the service. We will keep you informed!
