Miyowa to launch InTouch 5 at Mobile World Congress
Rating: Touch me, Touch me (Sam Fox)
By Bena Roberts
Miyowa is offering a new complete service to mobile operators for IM, content sharing, TV, mobile, internet and entertainment.
Basically the name of the service is InTouch5 (in touch with five services) or as the press release puts it: Quadplay plus 1 and the 1 addition is entertainment.
Key highlights of InTouch 5 include:
- Storage, upload and sharing of MP3, pictures and videos (User Generated Content)
- Presence-enriched address book
- Mobile IM and Mail
- Location enabled
- Major social network integration
- Device and bearer agnostic
- Mobile operator friendly end-user focused
From the press release
Pascal Lorne, CEO and Chairman of Miyowa, said: “The launch of InTouch 5 is a direct response to our customer needs. The mobile operator market is looking to re-establish itself with a value proposition that meets the requirements and needs of the end consumer going forward; InTouch 5 enables this to happen. With more than five years experience of listening to end-users, Miyowa’s solution fulfils their wish list of requirements.”
What we think?
I think a better name would be 5play but I get where Miyowa is coming from. Its raising its game and product portfolio to offer a complete service to operators not simply one part within its primary service package of IM.
I will test it and report back next week.
