Marketers aren’t using mobile properly

eMarketer reports that, despite good hype, most marketers aren’t using mobile. It claims that more than 65% of US marketers don’t believe that mobile is an important channel to use – and that even amongst those that do use it, most do not analyse and collate metrics properly.

Comverse predicts Indian mobile marketing explosion

According to Comverse Asia SVP, Pushpendra Mankad, “I definitely see mobile advertising becoming the prime vehicle of communication for all major advertisers in the country. The year on year growth of mobile advertising market is expected to be 55 per cent.” According to Telecom Yatra, this prediction is based on the predicted explosion of mobile data use when 3G is available to all of Indias 617 million mobile devices.

iVdopia launches mobile video platform for iPhone, Android

Rich-media advertising network iVdopia has announced a new video platform based on Apple-favoured standard HTML5. Called V5, it will allow an advertiser to serve videos on all Apple and Android devices (or, indeed, any other smartphone) without needing any Flash support.

On-Portal isn’t dead yet

According to New Media Age, on-portal advertising is enjoying a resurgence thanks to the efforts of companies including Microsoft, Yahoo! and AOL.

Bluetooth mobile marketer claims 16 million downloads
