Mobile Advertising firm StrikeAd appoints Tim Finn head of EMEA

Focus on increasing company’s digital footprint in Western Europe and into Asia

London, UK – January 18, 2012 StrikeAd, the London and New York based mobile advertising specialist, today announced the appointment of Tim Finn as Head of EMEA. The appointment is part of its continued international expansion. In 2011 the company opened New York offices and recently announced a move into the Japanese market in conjunction with mediba Inc., a leading Tokyo-based advertising business.

Tim Finn will be responsible for driving StrikeAd’s digital footprint across Western Europe, particularly in France and Germany, and into Asia. The company will shortly be opening a new office in Germany to support its European growth. Tim Finn was previously a member of the founding team at contextual advertising network, Vibrant Media, where he played a key role in building the business in Europe and the United States to a point where it was generating revenues of over $100 million.

“I have done a lot of work in the exchange and Real Time Bidding (RTB) areas of the industry”, Tim Finn said, “and have seen some profound developments in supply driven RTB which are very exciting when applied to mobile. Mobile is a new marketing channel with a huge global audience and StrikeAd is positioning itself to play a crucial role as the sector evolves.”

StrikeAd’s planned global expansion will be aided by a £2million second round finance deal it has just secured with venture capitalists DFJ Esprit. Alex Rahaman, CEO of StrikeAd, said: “Tim Finn brings an important skillset to the company. The inventory volumes and quality integrated into our Demand Side Platform is far in advance of its peers and Tim’s background in managing supply relationships and partnerships ensures we will stay ahead of our competitors.”
