Mobile advertising made easy by Wapple

A sure sign that mobile advertising is coming of age has been provided by WAP conversion specialist, Wapple. The company has introduced a tailored offering which has been quite simply named its Wapple Advert Package.
I asked Anne Thomas, business development director with Wapple, what had inspired her company to target advertisers. Her answer was simple. “The industry has moved on,” she said. “Initially we were being asked for our help with content, now we have lots of requests to do mobile ads.”
So what Wapple has effectively done is to put one of its famous ‘instant mobile internet presence’ kits together and aimed it purposely at those who want to generate mobile advertising.
For example, there’s Wapple’s Top Ten Tips for mobile advertising. There are also templates covering the usual kind of facilities a mobile advertiser might require.
For instance, a standard Wapple ‘Feedback’ page can easily be modified so that it can be used to gather entries for a competition.
The package also allows companies to deliver downloadable content as part of a promotion.
Naturally, Wapple was already working with the major players in the mobile advertising space.
So if you pay Wapple £30 per month for this package, you’ll end up with a mobile URL. This URL can then be fed directly into an AdMob campaign or used to drive a Google Mobile Adwords listing.
It also makes it very simple to interface to any provider who offers a ’shortcode plus trigger word’ service for either SMS or WAP Push.
