Mobile Advertising: SinglePoint Introduces SingleBrand Ad Marketplace for messaging

SinglePointhas launched a new ad marketplace called SingleBrand.

SingleBrand?

Well its seems as though the Ad Marketplace is an onscreen inventory for mobile messaging campaigns – run on the TV.

What?
So its a messaging inventory platform for interacting with different media and mobile.

How?
Well – the new marketplace has an inventory for each TV show. It shows viewer data and show or geographic data. Basically advertisers choose the show they want to target and then set their pricing.

From the press release
“SingleBrand Ad Marketplace represents a milestone in mobile advertising,” said Rich Begert, President and CEO of SinglePoint. “Brands and advertisers can now directly access this unique, highly targeted inventory in real-time for an efficient and cost-effective marketplace experience. Within the month of September alone we served close to 5 million ad eligible text messages.”

What we think?
Once again SMS raises its head and refuses to be ignored in the mobile advertising value chain. The cross media integration (TV and Mobile) is simply killer – I love the idea.

But I feel that this is only stage one.  What happened to visual mobile search companies? They need to get on this ad marketplace for an instant access to the TV. They could run sister campaigns based around – take a picture of your advert and get other offers and promotions – and piggy back off this idea.

In fact what about coupons? SMS coupons via a TV campaign could mean for HUGE inventory creation overnight.  Mobile advertising has been waiting for this with baited breath.
