Mobile Barcodes: QM Codes new deals with Digital Media Magazine, Australian Anthill, JMag and VICE

QMCODES partners with groundbreaking titles Digital Media Magazine, Australian Anthill, JMag and
VICE Magazine to deliver mobile barcodes with interactive responses.

The magazines have adopted QMCODES’s Interactive Print technology enabling readers to scan a small
barcode on a page with their mobile phone and with a single click have it link them to special offers, additional
content, competitions, videos, sample downloads or even the ability to directly leave feedback on articles,
without the need for a PC at any stage.
What we think?
I had a great chat with the CEO of QM Codes on this earlier this year and I liked his vision. But reading the announcement above from UpCode and this one - I wonder what is step two. I mean mobile print media is one part of the pie but how do other areas or parts get involved? Print media becomes interactive - but will this just be a mobile barcode land grab? What I feel is missing is a loyalty or extra component to the digital media campaigns which should be nurtured now.
