Djuzz is a mobile gaming service that offers nothing but free games – and you can download these to any phone except the iPhone. Created and maintained by BuzzCity, the site has reported almost a 100% increase in download in just one week. GoMo News examines why.
What’s the story?
Djuzz hosts a tonne of free mobile games, and when you visit the mobile site, it automatically detects what kind of device you’re using, and only presents games that will work on your phone. It’s also a completely free service – the only costs you’ll incur are network data fees.
Importantly, last month Djuzz launched a whitelabel service called Djuzz Catalogue. It allows any mobile content publisher to embed a customized Djuzz shopfront on their site – and they can cherry-pick whatever games they want to host on that from the 5,000 or so on Djuzz. Recently, Djuzz reported that traffic from the Catalogue service had increased downloads by 75% over one month.
Today’s news kind of blows that out of the water. Downloads from Djuzz for the week of June 4 and June 10 was 1,184,000 games and applications. But downloads for this week, ended June 18th, are 2,165,980 games and applications.
What we think?
Let’s have a look at those weekly downloads, and see how they’ve increased since the Catalogue launched:
May 7 - May 13: 370,000
May 14 – May 20: 393,000
May 19: Djuzz Catalogue launches
May 21 – May 27: 353,000
May 28 – June 3: 1,250,000
June 4 – June 10: 1,184,000
June 11 – June 17: 2,165,980
