Mobile Marketing Forum - Google Mobile Advertising Scoop, fresh blood and more
I am in shock. Firstly, I have never met so many new people. This conference is really good. But I nearly just had a heart attack as I have finally seen a Google presentation that is (wait for it) GOOD.
Yes. I have some live video and notes that I will write up later on - but I am in shock. The presentation called Hope, Hype and Mobile Marketing was informative and presented by Christian Hernandez Gallardo, Head of Strategic Partnerships Google.
Basically, he gave us the scoop with screen shots that I should have on live video - (www.flixwagon.com) will upload later on.
He said that Google has started offering image ads to an exclusive user base but the results so far were good. So Google has entered the display ad network space on mobile. From the looks of the screenshot the banners were also completely customisable. It looked clean and simple.
Mr. Gallardo also spoke about the future of Google mobile and did mention that Google felt concerned and compelled to improve the understanding of mobile data terms to consumers. He raved about the iPhone and said that youTube traffic had exploded since launch in December.
OK, there is loads more and I will wait for all the videos to load to connect back. But interestingly Christian Hernandez Gallardo did say that he thought AdMob landing pages were GREAT. Just before showing some Google landing pages for a Burger King ad campaign that didn’t look evil either.
