Buzzwire, a mobile web recommendation site, is launching a new section dedicated to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament for March. The m.buzzwire.com mobile site will give users access to scores, video highlights, analysis, etc.

m.buzzwire.com beta launched in February, and lets users discover and share mobile web content in much the same way as recommendation sites like Digg. Its March Madness portal will have sections dedicated to breaking news, scores, videos and highlights, expert analysis, and betting advice. Each section will feature the most relevant stories, as voted for by Buzzwire users.
From the release:
“Every year ‘March Madness’ takes on a life of its own as fans follow their teams and brackets over the two plus weeks of the NCAA tournament,” said Greg Osberg, Buzzwire president and CEO. “It threatens to bring work and productivity to a standstill as employees go online to follow the action the first two days. We’re making it easier than ever for the fans by providing quick access to all this great content via their mobile devices. This way they can stay up on the latest tournament action and news anytime and anywhere and do it more discreetly than they can on their desktop at work.”
From the release:
This is the first time I have encountered Buzzwire, and it looks pretty good. Originally dedicated to streaming mobile video to web-enabled phones, it has since focused on being a discovery and sharing platform for mobile web content. Buzzwire allows users to recommend via e-mail, SMS or by clicking a “buzzie” button that mobile web sites can download and embed.
