Mobile Search, yes, Mobile Search is sexy again, I promise

by: Bena Roberts Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

I have to admit that I went through a phase of being embarrassed about being a mobile search expert. Why? Because every Tom Dick and Harry adopted mobile search and tried to embrace it. The message got diluted and mobile search became about answers and SMS queries (shriek).

But something is happening in the mobile marketing space and finally brands are starting to understand that a search box is not just a box - its a revenue generator and an asset. Now, finally marketing search and advertising are being spoken of as one. Its taken a long time, but get ready for a new ecosystem. I think there is going to be some huge news from a white label company within the next month.

Yikes - I sound cryptic this evening - sorry - not trying to be - but have heard so many things to day that my head is spinning am going to have to video more. Should integrate the flixwagon interviews later by the weekend.

Saying that I am amazed at the number of barcode and visual mobile search companies here at the forum.
