MoSo Limbo today announced that it’s iPhone app will be using Facebook Connect. Limbo users on iPhone and iPod touch can now link the two services, allowing status and activity updates to be shared between both.
Limbo members who have installed Facebook Connect can connect to any of their friends who are on Facebook, even if those friends aren’t Limbo members.
From the release:
“Our members want a new way to share their experiences from their iPhone or iPod touch with friends who may not yet be Limbo members,” said Jonathon Linner, Limbo’s CEO. “Now that Limbo features Facebook Connect for iPhone, they can easily share and distribute information and experiences with their friends via Facebook status updates, requests and notifications. The location-aware emphasis of the Limbo application enables users to find and meet up with their friends to increase face time and real world experiences. This makes it even easier to connect with friends in the real world, not just online.”
What we think?
This is more of a Facebook release than a Limbo one, really. Limbo is quite wise to jump on the Facebook bandwagon, even considering how big Limbo is. Facebook Connect will allow this kind of feedback to it’s network from pretty much any app it’s a part of. The big problem I would see here for Wadja is that Facebook is a LOT bigger than it is – there’s a serious danger that it will just be subsumed, and become little more than another step in accessing your Facebook updates.
