Vuclip, mobile video search provider, has announced that it will be using mKhoj for it’s mobile advertising services. mKhoj will provide ads on Vuclip’s mobile website, and will push the Vuclip search platform to the publishers and subscribers on the mKhoj mobile ad network.

From the release:

Amit Gupta, Co-Founder and VP Business Development, mKhoj said, “We are happy to be working with Vuclip. Videos, which have always been some of the most popular mobile content for users around the world, are the key driver for this partnership. Vuclip is the most widely used mobile video search and delivery portal in the world and we look forward to assisting Vuclip in its efforts to monetise its mobile traffic. mKhoj is committed to delivering targeted ads backed by advanced analytics. We will also assist Vuclip in expanding its network of online-to-mobile content publishers by introducing our own publisher clients to Vuclip’s video API platform. We look forward to a fruitful partnership.”

“We are excited about the prospects for our partnership with mKhoj,” said Ashwin Puri, VP of Business Development and Marketing at Vuclip. “Firstly, we are confident that mKhoj will enable us to maximize our monetization efforts around the globe. mKhoj’s proven high fill rates and impressive eCPM’s were key elements in our decision to work with them. In addition, we look forward to working with mKhoj’s publisher clients to power their online video content in mobile through our proprietary “plug and play” video search and delivery platform. Our goal is to bring video content to mobile consumers around the world – whenever and wherever they want it. We believe that mKhoj will help us in that effort.”

What we think?

The vast majority of movement in mobile video this year has been from companies pushing TV shows or movies. It’s nice to see something happening in user-generated mobile video content. With big advances in mobile video technology on their way this year, mobile UGC could grow substantially by 2010. The question is who will be at the forefront. Could Vuclip be the YouTube for the mobile space?
