Today Momail of Sweden is launching its award-winning email service in the UK, and announces its partnership with Ariadne Capital, the London-based investment and advisory firm.

Momail’s mobile email service is free. Users can register through their mobiles or the Internet at www.momail.co.uk. The company claims the process takes fewer than two minutes to set up an account and is as easy as SMS to use.

Julie Meyer, CEO of Ariadne Capital, comments, “We believe Momail is the biggest step change in email since Hotmail which was acquired by Microsoft ten years ago.”

In its seven year history, Ariadne has also backed Skype, SpinVox, Monitise and Intamac – an interestingly mixed bunch with varied degrees of success and some big challenges – see the analysis of Skype’s new move into providing premium rate numbers globally in the forthcoming issue of Mobile 2.0, published next Monday on www.bkimedia.com.
