More spin on types of mobile advertising – this time with 3G data cards

SLA Mobile has launched an interstitial advertising solution for 3G data cards.

The SLA advertising manager will plug into mobile operators services and track browsing behaviour and advertising delivery.

How?
Users opt-in to the model and once they are in habits can be monitored and defined. The service is targeted at existing 3G data card users and ads will be inserted when convenient and relevant – or use will be tracked for targeting and I presume relevant local or localised ads.

Why?
OK. Now I am not 100% clear on this –but from what I can make out the 3G Data Card will become an ad-enabled product. So users can save money if they accept the ads. This will mean that different methods of billing will be available to consumers. So, flagging sales or existing customers thinking of churning can stay loyal if they opt-in to the service for a price reduction.

The win-win for the operators is the valuable data. The data will offer precise targeting and critical business information on 3G data card users
