Motorola Introduces DEXT™ with MOTOBLUR™: Your entire social life in a single stream, available exclusively on Orange

Motorola DEXT™ with MOTOBLUR™ automatically syncs and streams conversations, contacts and content all in the one place

September 16, 2009 – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today unveiled its first Android powered device in the UK, the Motorola DEXT with MOTOBLUR™, which will be ranged exclusively on the Orange network.

Motorola DEXT is the first phone with MOTOBLUR, the only solution to automatically organise and deliver your messages, your contacts and your favourite content – regardless of source – directly to your home screen in easy to manage streams.

Developed by Motorola and powered by Android, MOTOBLUR synchs contacts, posts, feeds, messages, e-mails, photos and much more—from sources like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, Yahoo, your work e-mail and LastFM – and serves it up just the way you like it.

“Today’s phone needs to be more than just ‘smart’. It needs to be social. DEXT with MOTOBLUR brings the most important social connections in your life front and centre to your home screen meaning you can spend more time living your life and less time managing it,” said Ralf Gerbershagen, Vice President and General Manager of Motorola Western Europe.

Francois Mahieu, Director of Devices, Orange UK “We’re really pleased to be exclusively offering the DEXT to UK consumers. The device builds on our commitment to bring the latest innovative multimedia handsets to market and fits perfectly with our existing portfolio of products and services – allowing consumers to make the most from their social networks on the mobile”.
