After I wrote a lengthy piece on Movidilo I had two competitors and three mobile operators come back to me with questions and feedback.
The question that came back was that following my article on Movidilo it was unclear what was “multi-modal” in the article and where did voice or visual meet.
So, I got on the phone again and called Martin Gossling. I apologised to him as I wasn’t as clear as I should have been in the first article and wanted to get the best clearest answer to the question.
So here goes.
Martin said that ydilo was the voice company.
Movidilo the visual application company.
But when you are in the visual application when it is easier to use voice you can.
For example: you are booking a flight. It is easier to speak your flight number or destination rather than use a drop down menu.
So, you look for a flight in the visual application with voice and then you get the results which is a list. It is then easier to visually decide which option you want.
So, in essence Movidilo is a visual application provider but using its parent’s voice expertise in some cases you use voice and visual in the results – so a voice query search service.
I wish I could publish the demo I saw, I will ask!
