MWC: On the floor with puddingmedia mobile advertising by audio and SMS

So I went to the puddingmedia booth as I had heard about the company, loved the name and wanted to find out about the audio mobile advertising concept.

 I had spoken to one of the founders in the past and had asked to schedule a meeting to get the scoop on puddings audio and sms advertising solution.

What happened?

I got introduced to the CEO Ariel Maislos and I told him I was press and I asked him about the service. Well, for a founder (I am one myself) I would have got more response from a dead fish. He didn’t offer me a test and he didn’t want to speak to me. He said the service was very innovative, they were in the USA and they got funding. I had to squeeze information out of him which was not joyous. In fact, this is a pattern that I am seeing over and over again.

There are a lot of non-personality people as founders in a company that really need to be replaced with marketing people who know how to push the brand and concept. If I had this experience god only knows what everyone else had. On top of that, how he could say that pushing adverts in SMS was really new and innovative is beyond me.
