Its QR code scanning app is free & works on all major mobile OS
It appears that barcode software specialist, NeoMedia Technologies (OTC PINK: NEOM), hasn’t been sitting back on its laurels. It’s just introduced new features for its NeoReader SDK [Software Developers Kit] as well as its mobile barcode reader application – NeoReader. The app (which GoMo News utilises for all its QR code scanning requirements) is a free to download from all the major app stores including Apple iTunes Store, Google Play Store, Nokia Store, Blackberry World, Windows Phone Store, Facebook and Amazon.
Aimed at mobile app developers, the NeoReader SDK release 1.13.0 includes features specifically for iOS and Android.
The Android only feature is revised license server connectivity to transmit a hashed value of the device instead of a UUID.
The iOS only feature has made UUID persistent for easier license handling after re-installation and in development process. Plus there’s added binary data output of scanned code.
The new NeoReader feature enables users to export their scan history in CSV format and email it to the address of their choosing.
The company claims this opens countless possibilities of archiving, post-processing and sharing the data.
The feature is available as an in-app purchase in version 4.09 of NeoReader for Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
The NeoReader SDK has a large volume of enterprise customers using its best in class decoding algorithms and camera APIs for integration into enterprise applications world-wide.
NeoReader is currently installed on over 50 million devices and recent versions of the NeoReader app are rated 4.5 stars on both Apple iTunes Store and Google Play.
