Never.no a provider of interactive video and mobile technology has created an exhibit  “From King to Obama”.  It is on display at the Nobel Peace Centre in Oslo until April 11, 2010.

The digital signage part of the exhibit was a collaboration between Telenor owned MORE Mobile Relations and Active Loop Television. Viewers were invited to post their own their own text and photo via mobile phone and the responses were shown instantly on the digital sign.

From the press release:
The never.no mobile-to-video platform enables viewer participation either by integrating the live video stream with user-submitted opinions and content, or by turning the phone keypad into an active interface that can be used for playing games, voting, or other input. The never.no system is flexible enough to work with standard TV, Web, IPTV, digital signage, and mobile content. At the “From King to Obama” exhibit, an average of five to 10 visitors per day have been contributing either a photo, a text, or a combined response to the video collage, using their mobile phones.

What we think?
Genius. Simple. Effective. I love it.
But I do wonder if there was any tracking involved to make sure the uploaded content was appropriate. Managing what is viewed publically is always troublesome. But despite that, we like!
