Nuance event at Mercedes World
Rating: reunion
Before I talk about Nuance and this beautiful place filled with lovely old Mercedes – I want to give everyone a word of advice.
1. If a mini-cab driver turns up at your door and doesn’t speak English but wants to drive you to Weybridge – say no. Don’t do it – I have already had the driving experience from hell!
2. The only reason I took a cab is because I was mugged on the bus yesterday.
Anyway. I arrived at Mercedes World early and am looking forward to being brainwashed by Nuance – but I had two lovely surprises. I bumped into ex-AOL/Tegic (now Nuance) William Clement and then ex-VoiceSignal Lars Fjeldsoe-Nielsen. Its great to see guys who you thought you might not see again because of acquisition and to see them so happy and healthy in the same environment. I am also delighted that the charming Eric Collins (see podcast at podcast.bkimedia.com) is also still here.
Looking forward to a great day and will try and live blog as much as I can.
