Nuance promises T9 Nav any day now
An extremely impressive demonstration of how Nuance´s T9 Nav software (inherited from Tegic) was given to me by Nuance senior vp, Robert Weideman.
He demonstrated how the software could do discover local content on my Nokia N95 very quickly and efficiently.
The app indexed all the content on the handset it could recognise. Then, when you start running T9 Nav from the idle screen it starts searching for any items it regards as a match.
The best bit is that does all this with a single key impression rather than requiring triple typing as you might expect.
The best bit for MWC goers is that included in the current download is a guide to all the exhibitors.
Not only does it provide useful information on each company, it also provides a map as a guide to the exhibitor´s stand.
Weideman expects the app to ship commercially by Q3 2008 even though it is obviously ready (at least for Series 60 handsets) right now.
To try it for yourselves for free just go to http://www.t9nav.com and download the software to your mobile phone.
