O2 signs up Yahoo! Onesearch

So this week O2’s signed up to Yahoo! Onesearch (or more accurately, it’s parent company Telefonica has done an across the board deal). Last week it was JumpTap. Next week probably Google. Yes, Yahoo! Onesearch has been given pride of place on O2’s Active portal and we know that there was a lot of fuss when Onesearch was revamped so that it takes users straight to the landing page of the top search result, but as mobile search is rotten generally, that’s not necessarily a bonus.

This looks more like an exercise in box ticking than a radical step.
