Orange and Ten by Orange to launch their new multimedia offers on March 6 2008
Orange also updates its multimedia offer. Features include the smallest 3G+ key on the market, a new range of multimedia options and a limited series of Star offers.
All unlimited with Ten by Orange
As an innovative player in mobile Internet, Ten recently teamed up with Orange to come up with a new offer, Ten by Orange (under brand licence), to be launched on 6 March in points of sale.
“All unlimited” is the theme of the Ten by Orange offer, with a new range of all inclusive voice + Internet packages.
The offer
Ten by Orange is a range of simple packages with unlimited Internet services, including web browsing, email, and Windows Live Messenger. Customers will enjoy a similar level of experience on their mobile as on their computer, with simple and unlimited access.
Browsing has been made easier with improved ergonomics, featuring preinstalled icons on the telephone screen providing intuitive access with a single click to the most commonly used applications (web browser, Messenger, emails, etc.).
The launch will include these features on two mobile phones, in tactile version on the HTC Touch (for €49 with subscription) and on the Samsung SGH-F330 (€29 with subscription). The technology will later be extended to the entire range of mobiles.
Ten’s voice offer includes, for the first time, unlimited calls 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to all fixed lines and mobiles in mainland France, regardless of the operator, from the third minute of communication. Under the three minutes, the time is billed to the caller; thereafter, the call time is free.
All other uses are also included in the package. SMS and MMS are billed 10 cents each, for instance.
Ten by Orange’s three monthly packages:
1:30 for €39.90 (€19.95 for the first two months)
2:30 for €49.90 (€24.95 for the first two months)
3:30 for €59.90 (€29.95 for the first two months)
The rates come with a 24-month commitment period. (+ €4.50 for a period of 12 months).
Additional minutes are billed at 40 cents. The offer will be limited to 50,000 customers upon launch.
What we think?
Finally lower prices in one of the world’s most expensive markets. The ten cent MMS is a GREAT idea and unlimited contracts - so long as their is a relaxed fair use policy are the way forward.
