Orange Cinema Ad with (wait for it) Rob Lowe!

OMG. I used to love Rob Lowe. I had his pictures all over my room and I remember once that my dad threatened to tear them down as I was too young for - um, boys - and I cried and cried. He didn’t tear them down in the end. As a result, I would watch St. Elmo’s Fire on repeat. Not only that does anyone remember The Outsiders?

I was in love with Matt Dillon, Rob Lowe – OMG – all of them. We were only young but I remember my sleepovers and dreaming of who would marry who. Yikes.

The Outsiders was my bible at that time. I want to shout out I love you Rob Lowe –but am controlling myself.
But there is now a good reason to go to the Cinema.

• Orange today announces that 80’s cult heart-throb Rob Lowe is the latest film star to feature in the Orange Film Funding board series

• The ad features Lowe, a former 80’s ‘Brat Packer’, pitching his idea for a remake of the classic film ‘All the President’s Men’ to the Orange Film Funding Board
• The ad will run in cinemas across the UK from 16th May and has been designed to remind people to turn their phones off while in the cinema

What can we expect?
Mr Dresden: “Baby just relax - try these bad boys on for size” (flicks G-string at Rob )
Rob Lowe: “Would it be a bad thing if I strangled you with these right now?”
Mr Dresden: “As long as you look at me while you strangle me…I’d be fine with that”.

The ad will run in cinemas across the UK from 16th May and has been designed to remind people to turn their phones off while in the cinema, running with the end-line “Don’t let a mobile phone ruin your movie”

What we think?
Drool, Drool – I can’t speak. I feel like I am on a nostalgia trip. OMG. I am going to get an Orange contract.
