Orange Music Live to offer live video streaming of major international artists and video-on-demand from the popular music festival in Poland
Available to Orange customers in eight European countries with additional benefits including discounted tickets and data streaming to mobile devices at no extra charge
May 27th 2014. Orange has announced its partnership with music media company, LoveLive, to live stream selected highlights from the Orange Warsaw Festival (June 13th-15th 2014), a major European music event that Orange has sponsored since 2008. Orange is the first operator to partner with LoveLive to provide live music streaming across Europe. Orange Music Live will be available across eight European countries including France, Poland, Spain, Romania, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Armenia and Moldova providing selected live video streaming of performances by major international artists, to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Accessible across multiple screens including smartphones, tablets, computers and televisions, Orange Music Live will be further enhanced by Orange’s super-fast 4G and fibre networks, where available.
Open air events will also take place in Moldova, Luxembourg and Slovakia to bring the spirit of the Orange Warsaw Festival to life in those countries.
The partnership further builds on Orange’s heritage in music that has seen the company deliver a range of compelling music offerings including music streaming service Deezer.
In addition, Orange has been a long-term sponsor of several other music festivals across Europe including Glastonbury in the UK (through EE), Summer Well in Romania and Pohoda in Slovakia.
“With consumers’ appetite to download and stream music on their digital devices growing by the day, we are constantly striving to deliver unique and memorable experiences for our customers,” said Thierry Marigny, vp for global brand with Orange.
Marigny continued, “Orange Music Live will provide a new experience, delivering the energy and atmosphere of one of Europe’s most popular music festivals to the palm of your hands, thanks to LoveLive’s unrivalled ability to capture the essence of live performances.”
“We are delighted to be able to share this experience with our music fans across Europe.”
Selected live performances from the Orange Warsaw Festival will be accessible via the Orange Music Live portal (musiclive.orange.com), which will feature a mixture of live video streaming of major international acts and video-on-demand content.
The content will be available during the festival and up to four weeks afterwards.
Access to the portal will be available to Orange customers, with additional benefits, including discounted tickets and no charges for data streaming to mobile devices.
“Orange seeks to partner with best-in-class businesses,” said Donna Soane, head of global sponsorship & partnerships with Orange.
“With LoveLive’s established expertise and proven track-record of easing the rights clearance process, and delivering compelling live music streaming experiences across multiple markets, together with a shared passion for music, we believe this partnership has all the hallmarks of a successful and enduring relationship that our customers will benefit from,” Soane added.
