Music data streaming to mobile at no extra charge
Orange Music Live service will offer live video streaming of major international artists and video-on-demand from the popular music Orange Warsaw Festival (June 13th-15th 2014) in Poland. The MNO [Mobile Network Operator] has struck a deal with music media company, LoveLive, to live stream selected highlights from the festival. Orange Music Live will be available across eight European countries including: – France, Poland, Spain, Romania, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Armenia and Moldova. Sadly not the UK, it seems. But then it does sponsor Glastonbury through EE.
This new partnership builds on Orange’s heritage in music offerings including the music streaming service – Deezer
In addition, Orange has been a long-term sponsor of several other music festivals across Europe including Glastonbury in the UK (through EE), Summer Well in Romania and Pohoda in Slovakia.
Thierry Marigny, vp for global brand with Orange, commented, “With consumers’ appetite to download and stream music on their digital devices growing by the day, we are constantly striving to deliver unique and memorable experiences for our customers.”
Selected live performances from the Orange Warsaw Festival will be accessible via the Orange Music Live portal (musiclive.orange.com).
This will feature a mixture of live video streaming of major international acts and video-on-demand content.
The content will be available during the festival and up to four weeks afterwards.
Access to the portal will be available to Orange customers, with additional benefits including discounted tickets.
Donna Soane, head of global sponsorship & partnerships with Orange, commented, “With LoveLive’s established expertise and proven track-record of easing the rights clearance process, and delivering compelling live music streaming experiences across multiple markets, we believe this partnership has all the hallmarks of a successful and enduring relationship that our customers will benefit from.”
