Rating: OZ up your life!

OZ the messaging - mobile IM and email gateway company says it has surpassed 10 billion transactions.

From the press release
“We are seeing accelerated mobile messaging growth across all of our North American and European customers which has helped OZ to achieve this milestone. Over the past year messaging activity for our Mobile IM customers grew 220%, and Mobile Email has seen a 350% growth in messages,” said Jim Knapik, President and CEO of OZ. “With the recent launch of our Mobile Email Solution with Verizon Wireless, we have strengthened our market leadership in North America with mobile operator customers reaching more than 90% of the entire market. We are also working with 8 of the leading mobile operators in Europe, bringing the total addressable mobile subscribers of our customers to over 600 million globally.”

What we think
This proves that mobile messaging not only SMS is moving on up. We continually believe that IM is the new Rolex of the mobile messaging world – but awful interfaces have hindered up take. Times are changing and increased uptake is proving it. Well done OZ!

I hope that their email client works better with Verizon than it does with ATT. I am on my 2nd Motorola V3XX with ATT. The first was great except the OZ email client would not work at all. ON the 2nd phone It works on an intermittent basis. Its usually easier to fire up the web browser and go to the yahoo page than to depend on the OZ email client to work.
