Paul Strzelecki Managing Director of Yorkville Advisors live blog on NeoMedia

by: Bena Roberts Thursday, April 17th, 2008

So, I finally had the interview that I had been waiting for.

I wanted to answer readers questions and concerns about NeoMedia and Yorkville. I came prepared with an army of information and blog posts from all off the regular barcode fans and asked three questions mainly.

1. What is your relationship with NeoMedia
Answer: We are the principal investors in the company.

2. What are your ambitions with NeoMedia?
Answer: We continue to invest in the business to make it grow. Barcodes are reaching tipping point - as is NeoMedia.

3. Who owns the patents on Barcodes?
Answer: Neomedia. I also got a lot more here and some official reading material that I have to read first and digest before I make more comments.
The interview went on for about 30 minutes - but that was the crux of it.

Just FYI - following about ten emails - Paul is no longer at Mobile Aware and earlier this year became the MD of Yorkville. There is not partnership between the companies that I am a aware of.

This is an open forum - please feel free to post your questions and concerns.

According to **** of the *******blog:

“While I think PWC will be an huge application for the mobile space, in my opinion, I think Cornell/Yorkville has diluted this company to a point where no recovery is possible. Here’s what I would do if I was Cornell. Force NeoMedia to repay the debt they are owed. If NeoMedia can’t repay the debt, Cornell closes the doors and then shops the technology.”

From what I understand, ************ took a private placement in Scanbuy who is currently in litigation with NeoMedia Technologies for patent infringement.

With a vested interest in Scanbuy, it’s no wonder ***** wants to see NeoMedia fail.

And to think he almost became an Agent for NeoMedia.

Bena,

Why the censorship?

I guess everyone’s afraid of the truth.

Hi Bena,

Please be clearer on answer # 3. Neomedia owns a couple of patents on barcodes, more specific on how they link barcodes to content. Most barcode IP is in the public domain.

Cheers, Ron
