I had my trusty camera with me at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week – so I thought I’d share some of my favourite pics with you from the week. I was there from Sunday evening straight through to Friday, and this might give you a flavour of what a week at the biggest mobile event in the world is like!
- Arriving on the first day, at the front gate of the Fira
- A live demo of Windows Mobile 7
- Plenty of partiers at the GoMo News Blender
- The AR segment of the WorkSnug app
- The massive queue for Nokias MeeGo announcement
- James Whatley picks up his Nexus One. Hey, he’s not a developer! Wait… neither am I. You know what? Forget it.
- The Sony Ericsson breakfast and press briefing on the Monday morning
- An example of “point of pain” marketing from ticketing company Masabi
- Facial recognition and tracking from GestureTek
- The Press Room – the coffee was fabulous
- There wasn’t enough seats at the Nokia announcement, so they projected it onto the wall as well
- The central avenue of the Fira
- This fountain will both drown and electrocute you
- The Android “developer workshop” where Google gave out free Nexus Ones
- MobileFocus on the Monday night
- The line-up of new phones from Sony-Ericsson

HAHA! I didn’t know you took that! Brilliant
Couldn’t resist
