Protopage - online personal aggregator launches mobile solution

by: admin Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Protopage is an online personal page and feed aggregator, allowing you to set-up a personal page that can include news and blog feeds and widgets that can include To-do lists, sticky notes, audio and video podcasts, bookmarks, photo’s and calendars and search the web. They have now announced a mobile version of the site.

After using the web interface you can access the site via your mobile. Most makes/models will work including the iPhone, Blackberry, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens, Palm, LG, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Windows Mobile.

News feeds are automatically optimized for download speed and for your phone’s screen dimensions. Protopage Mobile works great on both 3G and older 2G phones. You can speed up access to news feeds even further by disabling images from the ‘Edit settings’ link at the bottom of the Protopage Mobile page.

All content is available for your mobile as long as your phone supports the media, i.e. Audio/Video Podcasts.

Go here to set up your page. I’m going to give it a spin but would love to hear any feedback from you, our readers.
