New advertising platform from mobile broadcast network FlyCast

Mobile internet radio provider FlyCast is now offering targeted ad space. The service, powered by DoubleClick (who were recently snapped up by Google), will insert audio and display ads in any of the 1,200 stations it carries.

Should the advertising of mobile devices to children be banned? The French think it might be a good idea.

Apparently the Ministry of the Environment in France is considering banning adverts of mobile devices to kids under the age of 13. This comes after a growing number of reports suggest that over-exposure to devices, especially amongst the very young, might cause cancer.
