Rating: we are not evil

by Bena Roberts

I only had a 15 minutes with NeoMedia because I another urgent meeting to get to. But I used my time effectively. William Hoffman or Chip as he likes to be called is the new CEO and he has a tough job and a new team.

I asked him quickly if he had secured the patents and he was convinced the answer is yes.

I asked him if he was bored of the controversy and he said he wanted to move on and start doing business not messing around with unjust law suits.

I said that a lot of people don’t like Neo Media - why?

This was the longest answer but in brief we went through the history of the previous purchases and law suits and possible bad feeling. But now the company wanted the best for the community and barcoding and one code one reader and maximum interoperability.

What we think?
I liked Chip. I know there are issues and a few of our barcode clients have vented some frustration. But at the end of the day - like them or hate them - the solution works. They want seamless and we need standardisation.
