Quattro Wireless GetMobile Review

Earlier on this week the Quattro Wireless a Mobile Advertising company that squeezes and re-renders websites to mobile sites launched GetMobile. GetMobile is a self-service website to WAP maker that literally juices the website to a mobile site.

So I tried, but failed to juice the GoMo News website to a Quattro Wireless Get Mobile site. This was annoying as it took me only a couple of minutes to actually squeeze the site to my liking.

So my first point of call was to phone Quattro’s Joe Cuccinelli, who had briefed me on GetMobile earlier on in the week.

He took the matter into his own hands and the problem is that after juicing customers are asked to install a line of code to the site to make sure the site re-directs to mobile when viewed via a mobile site.

The trouble is that my Typepad blog does not support this. Any normal website and it’s a two minute job but, not Typepad.

So, I carried on writing my review to publish on GoMo News when I got an email from the CTO of Quattro Wireless Eswar Priyadarshan. I didn’t expect it, but out the blue Eswar offered me my own juiced mobile site hosted on GetMobile. This would let me monitor the adverts, change the graphics and still benefit from a juiced mobile site – but not managed by Typepad.

Well, shiver my timbers. What a lovely guy! Quattro had already signed up to be our new headline sponsors to promote GetMobile – so this was un-expected – but all the same extremely generous.

Independently it is very easy. Blog support is not there yet –but it might be a feature in the future.
