Quattro Wireless launches Patriots mobile site
Patriots? Um, a site for all US citizens?
Nope – it’s a football team.
From the press release
With the site and advertisements hosted on Quattro’s platform, the patriots.mobi site serves up unprecedented in-depth content to satisfy the appetite of any Patriots fan including podcasts, as well as weekly and exclusively-mobile “Patriots Now” videos offering 1-2 minute clips of the latest team news. The site features breaking news, team updates, rosters, schedules, a photo gallery, Patriots ProShop information and game reports.
“Quattro anticipates that with the growth of the mobile web and the sports audience’s appetite for real-time information, the Patriots’ mobile site, and similar sports-driven sites within the Quattro network, will be popular with fans,” said Lars Albright, vice president of business development with Quattro Wireless. “With the Patriots’ rich interactivity and breaking news feature on their new site, it is positioned to be a user-friendly experience and a leading site in sports.”
What we think?
OK, this is nothing hugely new but it is very different strategy from Quattro – I thought they were only doing juiced sites? But I tried to access patriots.mobi on the PC and it didn’t work.
